Our bones stay strong throughout puberty stage. When we reach middle age, they eventually start to lessen bone mass. It is not only through milk that you can get calcium. Studies show, that eating fish can help make your bones strong. All those tiny fish bones have just what you need to increase bone mass. Three ounces of canned sardines provide more calcium than a cup of milk.

3.       Go Green
This is not too much to ask for those who are meat lovers. Calcium is present in many vegetables. In fact, one cup of chopped, cooked turnip greens has 200 milligrams of calcium. Give in to your green leafy vegetables, it can help.

4.       Nuts and Seeds
They can strengthen bone health in many ways. They are filled with omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, protein, and other nutrients that help in making bones strong.

5.       Soy
Calcium is not the only one that increases bone strength. A study suggests plant-based chemicals called isoflavones enhance bone density as well, and they are seen in soy foods, such as tofu.

These are just some of the foods that are rich in calcium. You can try to add these foods in your diet, and together with exercise, you can certainly beat osteoporosis without harming yourself.
